Thywill site option Railspike debug log
2026-10-15 19:29:53 UTC — Step 1
Debug mode: enabled. Resolved from the presence of the consuming v3 project's .railspike_debug_on file for this new workflow; its contents were not read. The assessment records the same mode.
Necessary/useful instructions
Source:
RAILSPIKE.md, Key Rules, “Prefer shared components/API contracts first; reuse or extend.” Contribution: the review distinguishes existing site profiles, storage, identities, AI providers, and outbox infrastructure from prayer-specific semantics, avoiding an assumption that a separate platform is necessary. Suggestion: retain.Source:
docs/workflow/step1_solution_assessment.md, Structure, comparison options and vertical-slice viability. Contribution: the assessment separates a branded forum, a native prayer experience, and full replacement parity; its proposed first outcome includes entry, publication, repeated prayer, and generation failure recovery. Suggestion: retain.Source: Step 1 Review and revision / Next, approval before Step 2. Contribution: the requested review is complete while future feature definition and implementation remain unapproved. Suggestion: retain the gate, and keep review completion distinct from authorization to implement.
Redundant/unnecessary instructions
Source:
RAILSPIKE.md, How to Use This Chain and Key Rules, mandatory instruction reprint. Overhead: the full Step 1 instruction text was repeated in the conversation before a source review, adding substantial process text without adding task evidence. Suggestion: permit a short linked explanation unless the user requests the full text.
Inapplicable instructions
Source:
RAILSPIKE.md, Step 4 branching, planning commit, and stage cadence. Application source was not changed, and Step 3 was not approved. These rules therefore do not trigger in this Step 1 review. No branch or commit was created; all review artifacts remain uncommitted.
Uncertain assessments
Source: Step 1 Deliverable, “Ultra-concise comparison document (≤1 page),” together with
RAILSPIKE.md, Documentation-only scope. The user expressly requested a feature report, which requires more evidence than a one-page options assessment. A concise Step 1 assessment links to the separately requested detailed source-review report; neither is a later-step specification or implementation plan. Suggestion: clarify explicitly that research/evidence reports requested by the user can accompany a concise assessment without initiating the documentation-only implementation workflow. This is an interpretation of the scope boundary, not an explicit exception written in Railspike.
Handoff state
The source review covers 25 feature areas. All 102 report link paths were checked, with the CLI section anchor corrected after inspection. Fourteen focused existing v3 tests passed. No Thywill files were modified. Step 2 has not been opened or drafted. Approval remains pending for any continuation beyond Step 1.
