Event invitations

I'm really confused about event invites where I'm invited to an event, but I have to fill out a form with mandatory fields in order to accept the invite.

If I'm just checking my messages on my phone, I'm OK with tapping Accept really quick, but otherwise it's probably going to have to wait for like 12 hours before I can sit down on my computer and fill out these essays.

Don't you want to know that I'm coming to your event as soon as possible?

A good invitation could separate "I'm interested" from "all logistics are complete." Let me tap Yes or Maybe immediately, then ask only the questions needed for this event, with a reminder and an easy way to update my answer.

If you genuinely need a dietary restriction or legal name before confirming, say why and when you need it. Otherwise the form is turning a welcome into homework.
